Yeee Hah! Quite a few folks moseyed down to the Whitchurch Corral, mostly garbed in various western apparel. Amanda and Julian and their helpers had done an amazing job decking out the hall with all things western and for extras there was a genuine shootoff with a competition to see who could draw and fire a sixgun the fastest. It was very well done with modern measuring gear and guns firing blanks. The winner in the end was David who seeemed to have quite a few attempts ! The winner of the costume competition was Stevie who had made a great effort to dress as an Indian who had obviously managed to obtain some trousers form a cavalry trooper. He also sported a large tomahawk! The floor was great to dance on, the music was excellent, for me anyway and I didn't hear any other complaints and I had some brilliant dances. All kinds of doughnuts, cakes and other goodies were produced half-way through to replace energy and I had a very enjoyable night. _________________ "We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance."
