Last year's ball was excellent and it's always hard to repeat or better something that went so well. However, I have to say that this years was at least on a par with last years Ball. It was a bigger venue, being at the Corn Exchange at Brighton this year and 400 tickets were sold. It is a big dancehall but at times it was just a bit too busy on the dancefloor...perhaps 50 less people might have made the difference. In spite of that, the quality of the Cabarets was once again superb. Chris Marques and Jaci Spencer were back once again but this time with some supporting dancers as part of Cuban Groove. Their cabaret sets were just outstanding once again. There was also a debut cabaret by the newly formed 2 Hot Rhythm group formed and choreographed by Simon and Nicole. They were very good and had obviously put in a lot of hard work to make the cabaret slick and entertaining. The organisation was excellent and credit must go to Wendy and Kane for all their hard work which definitely paid off. The music was also excellent all night with sets from Roger Chin, Gazza and an especially floor filling set from Kev Hambry. It was a brilliant night however it would have been nice if the smoke machine had been turned off for a while during the evening... Hopefully there will be another Ball next year and I will be in the line for tickets again. _________________ "We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance."

I thoroughly enjoyed this event too - thanks Wendy and Kane.
A fabulous venue, and I don't think I've ever seen so many amazing dancers in one room!
It really was a pleasure just to sit and watch some of them.
Yes - it was a bit crowded on the dancefloor at times, and yes, the raffle went on too long...but these didn't detract from the evening as a whole.
And the three DJ's played some great music as well...I have some new tunes to hunt down and play...thanks Roger, Gazza, and Kev. _________________ DJ - ModernJivePortsmouth
