Some lovely friends offered me a lift to Bristol for the Ceroc Switch freestyle. I was unsure right up 'til the last minute whether or not i'd be dancing anywhere last night, but how glad am I that I was able to get out?!?!
We got there part way through a Blues class taught by Carl Adams. I joined in and thought that the moves were well taught. Whilst i'm not the biggest fan of classes at freestyles, as this one wasn't finishing until 2am, I didn't mind!
The music at this event was great; apart from during the Swing section, I danced to just about every track. The music switched to a slower tempo at midnight, and was ideal for Blues and more WCS.
There were dancers there from all over, most of whom were very friendly and out to enjoy themselves. There was a really good buzz there all night, and the free iced water, chip butties etc went down a treat!!!
It was a long old journey, but I would certainly make it again.... An all round fantastic night!!! |

Switch is alway a good night out, but last Friday was exceptional. I can never work out why some nights seem that little bit better special. Every one I talked to agreed, there was a extra buzz in the air that night |
