Brilliant night of dancing to an excellent music combination of right now music, very recent and some old favourites not heard for a long time kept the dance floor filled. Enjoyed dancing with many of my favourite dancers as well as many new.
Though a wet and humid night it didn’t dampen the atmosphere - it was obvious everyone was enjoying themselves - the fans helped along with the open windows and doors.
Towards the end of the evening, loadsa wine and chocs were given away to celebrate 5 years of Jive & Kicking, here’s to the next five!
I bought my tickets for Christmas and New Year to make sure I didn’t miss out as they were sold out last year. I’m looking forward to their next two freestyles in September. |

Last night was nothing short of Brilliant!
We haven`t been jiving for a few months, due to other commitments, so it was great to have such a good return last night.
Organisation 10/10 Professional, with a friendy touch. The organisers take time to talk and have a laugh with the customers
Mixture of music 10/10. Not the same old songs you hear and never too much of the same thing.
Atmosphere 11/10 (I can do that) Everyone was on a high. The whole place was buzzing and all are so friendly here. Neither my wife or I have ever been turned down by a jiver.
Sound quality 10/10 Not ear damaging. A good quality system. I`m not an expert on sound and I may be getting on a bit, but I can tell when something sounds good and when it doesn`t. I have been to some jives of late when the sound has been either too loud or too muffled.
Heat..hmm I will have to say 7/10 on that one, but that was due to the muggy night and the fact everyone was dancing all night. There were lots of fans to cool off by and the fire doors were open, which was nice as you can pop out for a breather.
Floor craft 10/10 A busy night, unyet no painful accidents that I could see. You are bound to get the occasional bump on such a busy night, but a quick smile and a wave from the guilty party and all is well.
Extras. Free parking is nice, especially on a night like this (very wet). The water is free and they don`t charge for the glass! A free raffle giving away wine and chocolates. This added to the atmosphere as everyone was involved and the DJ make us laugh with some of his witty comments.
All in all. SUPER! I came away on a high and am still on one now. I also have a tune in my head from last night. I haven`t a clue what it is, but its great. I feel sorry for the folk who only go to the larger events. They are really missing out on what places like this have to offer. |

Thankyou for taking the time to add these comment and also to all who have added many comments to our facebook page and to everyone who came up to Thank us last night. I am so glad you enjoyed yourselves.
We had a great night too and were dissapointed when it came to an end. It was nice to see so many happy people keeping the floor busy all night. We were expecting a quiet one, as August is the worst month usually, but it was quite the opposite. We had people from all over come to see us last night. Southampton, Weymouth, Winchester and even two guys from Australia! It would be nice to think they came over just for our jive, but they were on their hols. It was nice that they came up at the end to say how much they enjoyed it.
Once again Thanks to everyone who came last night and for all who have supported us for the last 5 years.
We hope to see you for our Two freestyles next month. Sep 11th at Wimborne and 18th at Kinson.
We have 22 tickets left for New year`s eve. These will be available on the 11th.
Thanks again
