The Rockbottoms crew (or part of them anyway Smile) have brought over Oliver Massart from Belgium to do a weekend in Harrow. Since Harrow is halfway between Watford and London, and some on here do goto Watford for 'Twisted', thought I'd mention it. I'll be going if I can get myself sorted in time, loads of events seem to be on the horizon Smile

Oliver was one of the teachers on the May 09 Rockbottoms WCS weekender. Very humourous and fun teacher who whilst knowing WCS technique inside out, is probably also the WCS teacher who teaches closest to the MJ style of teaching (that I know of). He's won a few things too Smile

Sunday 11th October 2009. 13:30 - 17:00 followed by tea dance to 19:00. £25.

Also, on the saturday is a similar arrangement but for BW, which stands for Boogie Woogie. No idea what that really is Smile

More details from udancin.com.

Oliver Massart as a WCS teacher is a new discovery by the RB crew. He has always been very popular teaching Lindy for them over the years, but last year they found out that WCS was his favourite. Talented guy.

Boogie Woogie has the same footwork as WCS but at a much faster speed. We did a Boogie Woogie class at RB before and immediately thought…hey this is just like WCS. Then the music came on…oh my god…it felt like the River Dance Shocked

Flip the coin and I expect Boogie Woogie dancers say the WCS is BW slowed down. Wink

Thanks Mandy.

I had this image of some kind of bent over 40's black and white movie style 'lots of hip twisting' mixture of Charleston and Lindy for Boogie Woogie. LOL. Bit wrong Smile

Looks like there's a 'sugar push' in there!

It looks like WCS but danced with a definitely Lindy feel. (says someone who doesn't dance Lindy! Smile). Maybe that's just the look the pace gives it.

One things for sure, bet those guys are super fit LOL.

Great clip, Andy. Phew, how would anyone manage a 4 hour freestyle at that pace? Laughing
