Bristol Switch Freestyle at the Greenway Centre from 8pm to 1am Huge sprung wooden dance floor, fantastic in house sound system, licensed bar and ample floodlit free parking at the venue. 5 Hours of pure Freestyle from 8pm. 8pm to 11pm the music will be a mix of up tempo Modern Jive tracks with the emphasis, funky and energetic. At 11pm we SWITCH to SILC/CHILLOUT style music the best in Blues, Smooth Latin, Tango, West Coast, Soul and R&B sounds through to 1am Music with DJ John Baker. Chip Butties, Coffees, Teas, Cakes & Biscuits late on for an extra energy boo ... What is SILC? SILC is a smooth, musicality focussed partner dance syllabus that compliments a slower tempo of music such as Blues, Soul, Funk, Contemporary R&B, Acoustic, lyrical, Latin and Folk. SILC is usually danced in 2nd rooms and chill-out zones or at events where the music twists to a slower tempo, such as the local favourite Bristol switch freestyle and of course in the SILC room at national Ceroc weekenders. SILC Freestyle/Tea Dance 3pm-7pm A 4 hour SILC freestyle with a mixture of slow-mid tempo SILC music.
